I recently worked with a local designer to develop a WordPress site for Talent Drive Recruitment, a new recruitment company. They needed a platform to list jobs and allow job seekers to submit their CVs. Starting from scratch, our goal was to create a straightforward, effective site that met the company's needs as they entered the competitive recruitment market.
For this development project, I decided to use the Sage base theme with WordPress. Sage is modern and streamlined, perfect for building a custom theme exactly suited to Talent Drive's needs.
I use the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin to simplify content management. ACF let me create custom content fields easily, so the Talent Drive team can update job listings and site content without diving into code. This choice was all about making the site manageable and keeping it user-friendly for the admins.
Bootstrap was my go-to for the frontend to make sure the site looks good on any device. Its responsive design features were key in providing a seamless experience for job seekers, whether they're on desktops or smartphones.
By blending Sage's capabilities, ACF's flexibility, and Bootstrap's responsiveness, I built a site that's not just attractive but also functional and easy for Talent Drive to maintain going forward.
